ETS-Lindgren Announced as Host of AMTA 2026

Industry’s Leading Symposium on Antenna Measurement Techniques Coming to Austin, Texas

CEDAR PARK, Texas, October 21, 2022 – During AMTA 2022, the 44th Annual Meeting and Symposium of the Antenna Measurement Techniques Association (AMTA), held in person from October 9 to 14 in Westminster, Colorado, the AMTA Board of Directors announced ETS-Lindgren as the host organization for AMTA 2026.  ETS-Lindgren will be responsible for organizing AMTA’s 48th annual symposium, with Joel Kellogg, Director of Marketing with ETS-Lindgren, serving as AMTA 2026 Host Committee Chair.  Zhong Chen, Director of RF Engineering with ETS-Lindgren and current Vice-President of the AMTA Board of Directors, was named AMTA 2026 Host Committee Vice-Chair.  Past AMTA Board Member Janet O’Neil, Customer Relations Manager with ETS-Lindgren, will support the Host Committee as Advisor.  She will lend her expertise as past Host Committee Chair when ETS-Lindgren hosted the AMTA Symposia held in Austin in 2006 and 2016.  The date and location of the AMTA 2026 Annual Meeting and Symposium will be announced in early 2023.

“We look forward to hosting the AMTA Annual Meeting and Symposium in 2026,” said Mr. Kellogg.  “Not only is this effort a way to give back to the AMTA organization, but it’s also a unique opportunity for the local antenna measurement community to enjoy the symposium in their own backyard. I’m sure the engineers in the greater Austin area from Apple, AT&T, Amazon, Dell, IBM, National Instruments, and Tesla, and, of course, ETS-Lindgren will enjoy the unique technical program.  A highlight of the symposium week is the technical tour, which in 2026 will be held at the corporate headquarters of ETS-Lindgren located in Cedar Park, Texas, just north of Austin.”

The AMTA organization, well-known for its expertise in radar cross-section as well as near-field and far-field measurements, also addresses new antenna technologies found in 5G, automotive, satellite, and space applications.  “We’re even seeing the use of robotics in the latest antenna measurement techniques.  At AMTA 2026, leaders from government, industry, and academia will share their expertise with the AMTA community,” added Mr. Kellogg.  “We hope you can attend, or, better yet, attend and present a paper on your latest research!”

Next year, AMTA 2023 will be held in the greater area of Seattle, Washington, from October 8 to 13.  The Boeing Company is Host; ETS-Lindgren is the Co-Host.  “We co-hosted the AMTA 2012 Symposium in Bellevue, Washington, with Boeing as Host.  We look forward to partnering with them again on our second AMTA Symposium in the beautiful Pacific Northwest,” enthused Ms. O’Neil.  Click here for more information on the AMTA 2023 Annual Meeting and Symposium.
