Global Antenna and EMC Speakers Share Measurement Expertise at One-Day IEEE Workshop in Nice, France

June 30 Workshop Features IEEE EMC Society Distinguished Lecturers

CEDAR PARK, Texas, June 18, 2025 – ETS-Lindgren is pleased to announce participation in a one-day workshop showcasing “Advances in Antenna and EMC Measurement Techniques.” The workshop, supported by the IEEE French Chapters of the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Microwave Theory and Technology (MTT) Societies, along with the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society Technical Committee on Antenna Measurements (TCAM), will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CEST at the Université Côte d'Azur, Campus SophiaTech (Templier), 930 Route des Colles, 06903 Sophia Antipolis, France. There is no charge to attend the workshop; however, you must register in advance to secure your space. Lunch and refreshments will be provided courtesy of co-sponsors ETS-Lindgren, Maury Microwave, and TCAM. All IEEE members and non-members are welcome to attend with advance registration.

1. The impressive technical program includes talks from two IEEE EMC Society Distinguished Lecturers, one respected speaker of the European Association of Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP), and four invited expert speakers on emerging topics as follows:

2. "RF and Antennas in the Certification Context” by Walid El Hajj, Intel, Nice, France

3.  "Performing OTA Measurements in an EMC Range – A Real or False Good Idea?” by Benoit Derat, Rohde & Schwarz, Munich, Germany; IEEE EMC Society Distinguished Lecturer

4. Anechoic Chambers – New or Old Technology?” by Garth D’Abreu, ETS-Lindgren, Cedar Park, Texas, USA

5. "Emulation of Complex Electromagnetic Field Environments Using Reverberation Chambers” by Ramiro Serra, Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands; IEEE EMC Society Distinguished Lecturer

6. Keynote Presentation: “Developments to Meet Evolving Antenna Characterization Needs” by Laurent Le Coq, University of Rennes, Rennes, France; EurAAP Respected Speaker

7. "The VIRC: A ‘2-in-1’ Reverberation Chamber for EMC and Antenna Applications” by Guillaume Andrieu, Xlim Laboratory, University of Limoges, Limoges, France

8. "Precision in EMC Immunity Testing: Power Budgeting, Amplifier Selection, and Mismatch Management” by Juan Antonio del Real, Maury Microwave, Nice, France

After closing comments by French EMC Society Chapter Chair Guillaume Andrieu and venue host, Fabien Ferrero, Université Côte d'Azur, a private technical tour will be held of the EMC and Antenna Lab at Intel, Nice.

“Not only is this technical program impressive with the high-quality speakers on emerging topics along with the private lab tour, but the lack of a registration fee means more people can gain access to this outstanding educational experience,” enthused Janet O’Neil, Customer Relations Manager with ETS-Lindgren. “I look forward to the enlightening conversations expected at the workshop with these diverse, learned speakers and attendees.”
