Global EMC Experts to Convene at APEMC 2025 in Taipei

CEDAR PARK, Texas, May 8, 2025 –  ETS-Lindgren is pleased to announce support of the 2025 Asia-Pacific International Symposium and Exhibition on Electromagnetic Compatibility (APEMC) taking place on May 19 to 23 at the Taipei International Convention Center in Taipei, Taiwan. ETS-Lindgren’s EMC experts will contribute to the Symposium Technical Program by organizing and presenting in two Tutorials and one Workshop. The company will also co-sponsor a Technical Tour of Google’s Taipei 101 facility. And ETS-Lindgren will be represented during the Technical Exhibition in Booth #A10 of its local distributor, Burgeon Instrument Co., Ltd. To demonstrate its commitment to the overall success of the Symposium, Janet O’Neil (ETS-Lindgren USA) serves as a member of the APEMC International Advisory Committee.

 

Regarding the Technical Program, ETS-Lindgren’s contributions begin on Monday, May 19, from 13:20 to 15:20 in Room 201B, with the Tutorial “HEMP/IEMI Overview: Publications, Detection, Protection.” Tutorial Co-Chairs Ms. O’Neil and William A. Radasky (Metatech Corporation USA) have put together an international roster of speakers from the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, and United States, including Joel Kellogg (ETS-Lindgren USA). Mr. Kellogg will present “Advancements in HEMP/IEMI Shielding Strategies and Techniques.” Additional speakers include Edl Schamiloglu (University of New Mexico USA), Ali Yaqoob (Technology Innovation Institute UAE), and Tobias Okech (MPE UK).

 

Also on May 19 from 16:00 to 18:00 in Room 201B, Tutorial Co-Chairs Ms. O'Neil and Sergio Amedeo Pignari (Politecnico di Milano Italy) will preside over “Today’s Automotive EMC/RF/Wireless Testing: What’s New and Is It Enough?” Tutorial speakers include Andy Chung (ETS-Lindgren Taiwan) who will present “Taking Advantage of Equipment Capabilities to Optimize Testing: An Overview and Discussion on the Pros and Cons of the Old Versus New ISO Reverb Methods.” Zhong Chen (ETS-Lindgren USA) will present “Novel Chamber Designs for Full Vehicle EMC and Antenna Testing.” Rounding out the Tutorial agenda, speakers Mr. Pignari and Patrick Hansmann (AVL Austria) will provide a European perspective on this emerging topic of global importance.

 

Garth D’Abreu (ETS-Lindgren USA) will present as an Invited Speaker in the “Application of Reverb Chambers I” Workshop on May 19 from 13:20 to 15:20 in Room 201F. His presentation is titled “Reverb Chamber Challenges.”

 

Next, on Wednesday, May 21, from 14:00 to 17:00 in Room 201B, the “Standards, Simulation, and Test Methodologies for 5G New Radio and mmWave Applications” Workshop features the presentation “Modern Chamber Environments for Testing of Wireless Devices” by Peter Huang (ETS-Lindgren Taiwan). Workshop Co-Chairs Ms. O’Neil and John Ladbury (National Institute of Standards and Technology USA) have created an interactive session to encourage dialogue with the attendees about emerging test techniques. Dr. Ladbury will also present in the Workshop with complementary presentations from Jason Bommer (ANSYS USA), William Koerner (Keysight Technologies USA), and Benjamin Lee (Google Taiwan) completing the session.

ETS-Lindgren is a proud co-sponsor with Google of a Technical Tour on Thursday, May 22, from 11:30 to 14:30. Adjacent to the Taipei International Convention Center, venue for the APEMC Symposium, you will find the world-renowned Taipei 101, the tallest skyscraper in Taiwan at 101 stories and 508 m high. Located on the 77th floor, attendees will see Google’s one-of-a-kind facility that supports a variety of Google products and services. The tour begins with a delicious lunch co-hosted by Google and ETS-Lindgren and a welcome from the tour co-hosts. Following lunch, attendees will enjoy technical presentations by Google and ETS-Lindgren EMC and wireless experts on the challenges faced in the design and testing of mobile devices, both now and in the future. Innovative solutions to these challenges will be presented by our experts. In addition to seeing the spectacular views of Taipei from the 77th floor, attendees will also experience hardware product demos. Attendance at the tour is strictly limited; attendees are encouraged to register on the conference website while space is still available.
