New BiConiLog EMC Antennas Expedite Test Time

CEDAR PARK, Texas, October 19, 2012 ETS-Lindgren announced release of two new BiConiLog hybrid antennas that combine innovative design, compact size, and excellent performance. Model 3143B enables users to measure a frequency range of 30 MHz to 1 GHz in one sweep; Model 3142E increases the upper frequency limit to 6 GHz as included in the IEC 61000-4-3 standard. Measuring in one sweep negates the need for multiple antennas and time consuming equipment set-up. Accuracy and repeatability are improved, while time and money are saved. In addition, these antennas are designed for dual-purpose use in both immunity and emissions testing.Models 3143B and 3142E exhibit high gain and low VSWR across the operational frequency band. Model 3143B features a typical VSWR of less than 3:1 above 70 MHz; Model 3142E offers an average VSWR of 2:1 above 50 MHz. These are excellent levels at this low frequency for antennas of this size.Ideal for both immunity and emissions testing, Model 3143B covers the typical immunity measurement range of 80 MHz to 1 GHz and emissions from 30 MHz to 1 GHz while Model 3142E may be used for immunity measurements in the 80 MHz to 6 GHz range and for emissions from 30 MHz to 6 GHz if so desired.Optional mounting systems are available for Models 3143B and 3142E, including a mounting bracket for ETS-Lindgren or other tripod mounts with x 20 threads or a rear stinger mount. All production units are individually calibrated at ETS-Lindgrens A2LA accredited lab per ANSI C63.5 and SAE ARP 958. The antennas are shipped with a manual, actual antenna factors and a signed Certificate of Calibration Conformance. Need it now Models 3143B and 3142E are available for immediate delivery in ETS-Lindgrens popular Antennas-2-Go program. For complete information, view the datasheet on Model 3143B and Model 3142E.
