ETS-Lindgren Announces Technical Contributions to EuCAP 2020

5G, MIMO, and Time Domain Measurement Research to be Presented at Leading Antenna Conference

CEDAR PARK, Texas, February 26, 2020 - ETS-Lindgren announced its technical contributions to the European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP) 2020 in Copenhagen, Denmark.  EuCAP is Europe's largest and most significant antennas and propagation conference.  EuCAP 2020 will be held on March 15-20 at the modern Bella Conference Center.  ETS-Lindgren engineers will present three papers as part of the extensive EuCAP technical program.  Michael Foegelle, Director of Technology Development, will present "What's in a Name An Analysis of the True Meaning of MIMO and Beamforming" as part of the convened session "Test and Measurement Challenges for 5G and Beyond."  Zhong Chen, Director of RF Engineering, will present "Direct Wave Removal in Anechoic Chamber Range Imaging from Planar Scanned Data" as part of the convened session "Novel Antenna Measurement Data Analysis and Techniques."  Jun Luo, Senior Software Engineer, will present "On the Measurement of Radiated Power for 5G Mobile Device with Spectrum Analyzer."  These ETS-Lindgren presentations are scheduled for Thursday, March 19.

Year 2020 has special significance for EuCAP in Copenhagen.  "This year marks the 200 year anniversary for Danish physicist Hans Christian rsted's discovery in 1820 that electricity and magnetism are not separate but connected phenomena.  This led to the discovery of the electromagnetism that is the scientific foundation of all antenna and propagation technology," said Professor Olav Breinbjerg with TU Denmark, Chair of EuCAP 2020.

Visit ETS-Lindgren in Booth 36 at the EuCAP exhibition to see our latest products and services that address electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), antennas and propagation technology.  Our engineers and sales professionals will be happy to discuss solutions for your EMC, Antenna, Automotive, and Wireless test and measurement challenges. Given the focus on 5G technology in the technical program at EuCAP, Dr. Foegelle, a veteran contributor to the CTIA, 3GPP and IEEE wireless industry test standards, will be available in our booth to answer your most pressing questions on 5G and mmWave technology.  Dr. Foegelle is well known not only for his patents on wireless and electromagnetic test methods and equipment, but also for his dedication to advancing the state of the art in radiated RF testing of emerging wireless technologies.
