ISO/TC22/SC32/WG3 and CISPR/D Committees to Meet at ETS-Lindgren to Address Automotive EMC Test and Measurement Standards

Leading Experts to Convene at Company Headquarters in Cedar Park, Texas, October 17 to 27, 2022

CEDAR PARK, Texas, September 8, 2022 – Active technical contributors to the International Standards Organization (ISO) and the International Special Committee on Radio Interference (CISPR) will convene at ETS-Lindgren’s corporate headquarters in Cedar Park, Texas, on Monday, October 17 to Thursday, October 27, 2022.  Global industry experts will address updates to existing key automotive EMC standards maintained by ISO/TC22/SC32/WG3 and CISPR/D, such as the industry flagships standards CISPR 25, CISPR 12, CISPR 36, ISO 11451-x, ISO 11452-x, ISO 7637-2, and ISO 10605.

“These meetings bring the world’s automotive EMC experts together to maintain existing standards as well as develop new standards to address emerging technologies related to modern vehicles,” said Craig Fanning with Elite Electronic Engineering, incoming Chair of CISPR/D (effective at the October 2022 meetings).  “Many of the leading vehicle manufacturers, key suppliers to these OEMs, and test labs supporting these companies, will convene for nearly two weeks of intense discussions.  With the rapidly evolving technologies related to hybrid, electric, and autonomous vehicles, it’s important for members of these committees to share our collective expertise.  As a result, our standards ensure optimal performance of new vehicles before they go to market.”

“We are happy to host the ISO and CISPR/D meetings at our facility,” said Bill Giacone, Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing, with ETS-Lindgren.  “Contributing our technical expertise to standards that advance technology in our industry benefits manufacturers and consumers.  We have a long history of industry involvement and are glad to support the ISO and CISPR/D committees by providing meeting space as well as access to our EMC and Wireless Test Chambers on site.  Providing the working groups with lab time jump-starts the development of these important standards,” he added.
