ETS-Lindgren Partners with Multitel to Enhance EMC Testing Capabilities

Cedar Park, Texas, March 28, 2025 – ETS-Lindgren, the global leader in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Wireless Testing Solutions, has partnered with Multitel, a commercial EMC test lab based in Mons, Belgium, to create a state-of-the-art 3-meter EMC chamber customized to meet the lab’s specific testing needs. This collaboration underscores ETS-Lindgren’s commitment to providing reliable, innovative solutions for complex testing challenges.

The chamber, a FACT™ 3 (Free-Space Anechoic Chamber Test-Site), is a modular RF-shielded enclosure designed to maximize space efficiency without compromising functionality. With internal shield dimensions of 8.48 m L x 5.12 m W x 5.84 m H (28 ft x 17 ft x 19 ft), the chamber creates a controlled, high-performance testing environment for a variety of applications.

At the heart of the FACT™ 3 chamber is ETS-Lindgren’s DuraSorb™ DSH-400H Absorber. This technology combines the performance of FerroSorb™ with the durability of PS Series absorbers, providing a reflectivity of better than -15 dB from 80 MHz to 300 MHz and better than -20 dB above 300 MHz, ensuring consistency from low to high frequencies.

The modular RF-shielded control room complements the chamber’s design. Constructed from 2-mm galvanized steel panels, the control room measures 4 m L x 2.56 m W x 2.48 m H (13 ft x 8.3 ft x 8 ft). The integration of the control room with the semi-anechoic chamber ensures seamless operation and optimum space usage.

“This project is particularly meaningful to us because it highlights our ability to solve complex challenges with dependable solutions,” said Janet O’Neil, Customer Relationship Manager at ETS-Lindgren. “By collaborating with Multitel, we’ve delivered a chamber that meets the highest standards for EMC testing, providing them with the precision and flexibility needed in today’s rapidly advancing technological landscape.”

The chamber underwent comprehensive verification processes to ensure its superior shielding and absorber performance, solidifying its role as an essential tool for testing in both commercial and industrial applications.

Through this partnership, ETS-Lindgren reaffirmed its dedication to offering not only advanced technological solutions but also tailored, customer-focused service. By working closely with Multitel, ETS-Lindgren has demonstrated its ability to meet the evolving needs of the EMC testing community, setting a new benchmark for the industry.
