New ETS-Lindgren 802.11ac Over-the-Air Measurement Solution Based on LitePoint IQlink WLAN Measurement System

New ETS-Lindgren 802.11ac Over-the-Air Measurement Solution Based

on LitePoint IQlink WLAN Measurement System

Solution Reduces Test Time and Improves Reliability of Measurements

CEDAR PARK, Texas December 20, 2017 ETS-Lindgren announced selection of the LitePoint IQlink WLAN Measurement System as a standard component of ETS-Lindgren's family of Antenna Measurement System (AMS) wireless test chambers used for testing 802.11ac Wi-Fi products. LitePoint's IQlink is a link-based solution for testing high-speed wireless LANs.  IQlink seamlessly integrates into the ETS-Lindgren AMS solutions with ETS-Lindgren's industry leading EMQuest antenna measurement software.

The ETS-Lindgren AMS wireless test chambers leverage LitePoint's IQlink to provide complete Over-the-Air (OTA) antenna measurements that are critical for validating antenna and other wireless component performance after final product assembly. IQlink can be used to verify the RF performance of smartphones, tablet PCs and other WLAN products including access points, wireless gateways, data cards, dongles, and other systems.

"OTA antenna performance measurements are an integral part of device performance in WLAN.  We are happy to provide an efficient solution for engineers to validate their product design," said Jari Vikstedt, Manager, Wireless Solutions, at ETS-Lindgren. "We believe customers will find the IQlink-based ETS-Lindgren wireless solution a simple and fast way to measure 802.11ac devices."

ETS-Lindgren AMS solutions are easy to use and enable robust measurements of radiated transmit power and receiver sensitivity measurements utilizing ETS-Lindgren's EMQuest software.  A key feature of the solution is its ability to make parametric measurements over the full dynamic range with no loss of link during low-level signals. The solution features very fast receiver sensitivity measurements, which can reduce run times by 90 percent.

"Wireless LAN OTA measurements of antenna performance are critical for product performance and customer satisfaction," said Adam Smith, Director of Product Marketing at LitePoint. "The combination of the IQlink and the AMS family of wireless test chambers will reduce test time and cost, while improving test reliability of the measurements."
