6502 Active Shielded Loop Antenna
Product Image

The Model 6502 is an active receiving loop antenna, for EMC testing applications.

Key Features
  • Frequency Range: 9 kHz - 30 MHz
  • Two Year Warranty
  • Individually Calibrated per ANSI C63.5
  • Remote Monitor Option
  • Saturation Indicator

The preamplifier helps this loop antenna produce good sensitivity and almost constant antenna factors when testing for EMC applications. A preamplifier is built into the base and provides a 50-ohm output.
The saturation indicator is activated when an incoming signal exceeds the 5 V/m saturation limit of the internal preamplifier. Power for the preamplifier is supplied by rechargeable sealed batteries. Front panel controls and indicators for the preamplifier include a power switch, power-on indicator, saturation indicator, and a receptacle for a battery charger. A switch selectable battery charger for 115 VAC or 230 VAC 50/60 Hz operation is included.
Every loop antenna is individually calibrated in accordance with ANSI , C63.5 using NIST traceable equipment. By knowing the actual antenna factors and performance characteristics of an antenna instead of typical data, you can more accurately measure field strength in your tests.
