FS-200 FerroSorb EMC Absorber

FS-200 FerroSorb™ EMC Absorber

ETS-Lindgren's FerroSorbTM FS-200 is part of the FS Family of hybrid (ferrite tile and carbon loaded material) absorbers.

ETS-Lindgren's FerroSorb FS-200 is part of the FS Family of hybrid (ferrite tile and carbon loaded material) absorbers. The FAA-200 loaded foam part is designed to match the impedance of ETS-Lindgrens FT-1500 Ferrite Tile Panel. When combined, these two absorber technologies become the FS-200 absorber system.

Product Features

Broad Range

The FS-200 absorber has a very broad band range of 30 MHz to 40 GHz, meeting the required range for MIL-STD 461 and CISPR 25.

Low Profile

Only 20 cm high (8.0 in), this absorber has very low profile yet it has excellent absorption for the entire range of frequencies. The absorber ships in standard 60 cm x 60 cm (23.6 in x 23.6 in) pieces with 36 truncated pyramids per piece.

Low Frequencies

The FAA-200 material is designed to provide absorption at low frequencies provided that it is used with a ferrite tile backing as part of the FS-200 absorber system.

High Power Density

Like other ETS-Lindgren absorbers, the FS-200 can handle up to 775 W/m2 (0.5 w/in2) CW power density (540 V/m) in RF and MW frequencies. For periods less than 10 minutes, the absorber can safely handle up to 2650 W/m2 (1.7 W/in2) power density (1000 V/m).

Optional FlexSorb™ Treatment

With FlexSorb, you can enjoy the same excellent performance characteristics as our traditional absorbers, with the advantages of improved durability. FlexSorb is a special absorber treatment that allows an absorber to bend but not break. It's ideal for high traffic areas like chamber doorways and interior walls, or for tests that require an anechoic floor treatment. And, being that FlexSorb is also non-hygroscopic: its weight does not change in the presence of atmospheric moisture.
