ETS‑Lindgren Hosts Two Major Events in Conjunction with the Antenna Measurement Techniques Association (AMTA) in 2026

April 14, 2026

AMTA Regional Event on June 1 to 2 and AMTA International Symposium on November 1 to 6 to Feature Industry Expert Speakers in Austin, Texas

CEDAR PARK, Texas – April 14, 2026 – ETS‑Lindgren is excited to announce its technical and administrative contributions to the 2026 AMTA Regional Event scheduled for June 1 and 2 in Austin. The Technical Program on Monday, June 1, features experts in the antenna measurement community, including David R. Jackson with the University of Houston, who will present a mini short course on “Introduction to Leaky Waves and Leaky-Wave Antennas.” Zhong Chen, Chief Engineer with ETS‑Lindgren, will also discuss “Advancements in Antenna Far-Field Gain Extrapolation Calibration” along with other industry experts presenting from Maury Microwave, Next Phase Measurements, NSI-MI Technologies/Ametek, and The Boeing Company.

The event on June 1 also includes a Tabletop Technical Exhibition of leading companies that provide products and services for the antenna measurement, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), wireless, and radio frequency/microwave industries. Interested exhibitors can learn more here. Note the location for the full day June 1 event is the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center on the University of Texas at Austin campus in Central Austin.

On Tuesday morning, June 2, the Technical Program continues with the Half-Day Workshop, “Innovative Solutions to Real-World Measurement Challenges” onsite at ETS‑Lindgren in nearby Cedar Park, Texas. Workshop participants will hear presentations from speakers Mr. Chen and Dennis Lewis, Technical Fellow with The Boeing Company, featuring live demonstrations using the EMC Test Chambers at ETS‑Lindgren. Back by popular demand from this event held previously in Seattle at the 2023 AMTA Regional Event, this year’s workshop again features a practical mix of topics, including an update on industry standards IEEE 149 (Recommended Practice for Antenna Measurements – with a Workshop review specifically on reverberation chamber antenna efficiency as well as chamber evaluation methods); and ANSC C63® (Validation Methods for Radiated Emission Test Sites: 1 GHz to 18 GHz per C63.25.1, 30 MHz to 1 GHz per C63.25.2, and 18 GHz to 40 GHz per C63.25.3); and IEEE 1309 (Calibration of Electromagnetic Field Sensors and Probes –  Excluding Antennas – from 9 kHz to 40 GHz).

In addition to the standards update at the Workshop, attendees will also learn about novel techniques to optimize data processing. “With today’s dramatically increased computational software and hardware capabilities, collecting measurement data has never been faster or easier,” said Mr. Chen. “Thousands of data sets can be collected, but how does one manage this data realistically and evaluate it effectively? This has opened the door for new and novel techniques to evaluate the performance of the test environment as well as improve data post-processing. We’ll examine these techniques during the Workshop,” he added.

The Workshop concludes with live demonstrations including “Test Site Measurements using Orthogonal Time and Mode Domain Transformation” by Mr. Chen and “Reverberation Chamber Stirring Techniques and Antenna Effects” by Mr. Lewis. The full agenda for June 1 and 2, including abstracts for the workshop demonstrations and all presentations, plus speaker biographies, is available here.

“We’re thrilled to support the 2026 AMTA Regional Event as it’s a way to connect with the local antenna measurement community before the AMTA 2026 Annual Meeting and Symposium, which will be held from November 1 to 6 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Austin,” said Joel Kellogg, Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing with ETS‑Lindgren, and Chair of the AMTA Symposium Organizing Committee. “ETS‑Lindgren values the numerous technical contributions made by AMTA members toward advancing antenna measurement technology over the organization’s nearly 50-year history. We are proud to support the Regional Event and host the Annual Symposium. In fact, this year marks the third time ETS‑Lindgren has hosted AMTA’s Annual Meeting and Symposium – we’ve hosted in 2006, 2016, and now in 2026. Many of my ETS‑Lindgren colleagues have been involved in supporting all three Symposiums!  With our veteran team, you can count on ETS‑Lindgren to organize top-notch events. We look forward to seeing you at our regional and international AMTA activities this year,” he enthused.
