ETS‑Lindgren Announces Support of Two IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Society Chapter Events: Join Us in June!

May 28, 2026

CEDAR PARK, Texas – May 28, 2026 – ETS‑Lindgren announced support of two IEEE EMC Society Chapter Events scheduled in June. The Events kick off with the Boston EMC Society Chapter meeting on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at TÜV Rheinland of North America’s Northeast Technology & Innovation Center. The technical program features two speakers: Yibo Wang, Principal RF Engineer with ETS‑Lindgren, presenting “EMC Chamber Modeling and Design Optimization,” and Jin Min, President with Amber Precision Instruments, presenting “EMC Scan Technologies.” The Event starts with a buffet dinner at 5:30 pm EDT hosted by Amber Precision, ETS‑Lindgren, and Rohde & Schwarz. A technical tour of the EMC Lab at 8:05 pm EDT concludes the program. Janet O’Neil, Customer Relations Manager with ETS‑Lindgren, advised, “We partnered with the Boston EMC Chapter to organize this meeting since the speakers will be in town attending the International Microwave Symposium 2026 (IMS2026) sponsored by the IEEE Microwave Theory and Technologies Society. It’s a great opportunity to support Patrick DeRoy, Boston EMC Society Chapter Chair, and the local EMC community in providing an impressive technical program and facility tour.” She adds, “Bob Mitchell, Director of Technology and Innovation with TÜV Rheinland of North America, will rouse attendees with his lively technical tour comments. It’s always a treat to see the extensive test capabilities at Bob’s facility.” Click here to learn more about TÜV Rheinland of North America Inc., and here for the Northeast Technology & Innovation Center. The following week, on the opposite Coast, ETS‑Lindgren will support the Santa Clara Valley EMC Society Chapter Event on Tuesday, June 16, with an Open House at CKC Laboratories Inc., in Fremont, California. This is a new location for CKC Labs, as the company is expanding to better serve its customers in the Silicon Valley. The technical program features two speakers with CKC Laboratories: Randy Clark, Wireless Testing and Radio Equipment Approvals Specialist, and Steve Behm, Director of Engineering Services. Mr. Clark will present a “Nerve Stimulation Seminar” that addresses Canada’s RSS-102 Nerve Stimulation testing applicable to all products which operate between 3 kHz to 10 MHz. ISED and Health Canada’s requirements are unique in the arena of RF Exposure testing. A live demonstration and open forum discussion will follow the presentation. Mr. Behm will present a “Grounding & Shielding Seminar” addressing shielding, the bonding of that shielding to ground, and its ability to reduce emissions and increase immunity EMIT threats. The Open House is scheduled from 10:30 am to 2:15 pm PDT. “We’re proud to support CKC Labs with their new facility and the Santa Clara Valley EMC Society Chapter by hosting the buffet lunch scheduled between the two educational presentations,” enthused Ms. O’Neil. “I’ve known the staff at CKC Labs, including the late founders Chris and Chuck Kendall, as well as Caroline Chan, Santa Clara Valley EMC Society Chapter Chair, for many years due to our mutual involvement in IEEE EMC Society activities. It’s a pleasure to assist CKC Labs and the Chapter with this Open House,” she added. For more information on CKC Laboratories, click here.
