ETS-Lindgren’s Impactful Participation in FHEA 2023 - Advancing Health and Engineering in Orlando, Florida

CEDAR PARK, Texas, May 26, 2023 – ETS-Lindgren showcased their innovative RF shielding products and services for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) applications at the 60th Trade Show and Annual Educational Conference of the Florida Healthcare Engineering Association (FHEA). The event was held from May 22 to 24 at Renaissance Sea World, Orlando, and featured social events, inspiring keynote presentations, and educational courses for professionals in the healthcare facilities management industry. The educational presentations and seminars aimed to keep industry personnel informed of the latest codes and standards, as well as best work practices.

FHEA 2023 presented an extensive exhibition with over 200 booths, highlighting the latest MRI and healthcare-related technologies. Mike Rinaldi, ETS-Lindgren's Southeast Regional Sales Manager, expressed enthusiasm about exhibiting at FHEA, by stating, “Our team is committed to providing high-quality products and services to professionals in the healthcare management industry. We’re excited to interact with this year’s attendees, showing them how our state-of-the-art Solutions can ensure their facility’s safety and success.”

Visitors to ETS-Lindgren's Exhibit Booth #524 had the opportunity to explore the latest RF Shielding Solutions for MRI facilities, including the EVO™ Series of MRI RF Shielded Doors, ClearShield™ S-Glass, and the Oxygen Monitoring System (OMS). Also, a "cutaway" model showcased the construction of an RF Shielded Enclosure.

The EVO Series of MRI RF Shielded Doors, designed for reliable and low-maintenance service in rigorous MRI environments, offers industry-leading technology. Equipped with an easy-open, lever-style handle, the EVO Door facilitates effortless access to the MRI suite. Its low-profile, ADA-compliant threshold allows for easy patient gurney transfers and simplified cleaning. The EVO Door's acoustic performance, with Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating choices, creates a quieter and calmer environment near the MRI suite.

ClearShield S-Glass, another innovative development by ETS-Lindgren, integrates a privacy option into a high-performance RF window. Utilizing Liquid Crystal (LC) technology, the S-Glass window offers dynamic privacy control, eliminating the need for blinds and providing convenience in maintaining cleanliness. Visitors had the opportunity to experience this cutting-edge LC technology available on all ETS-Lindgren ClearShield Windows and Door Windows.

ETS-Lindgren also presented the Oxygen Monitoring System (OMS), a sample draw monitoring system that ensures the safety of MRI patients and healthcare personnel. With a maintenance-free Zirconium Sensor and an average 10-year sensor life, the OMS monitors oxygen levels in MRI rooms, labs, freezers, confined spaces, and other locations where inert gases pose a danger to human health. The OMS features impressive performance capabilities and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

During FHEA 2023, representatives were on hand to discuss ETS-Lindgren's Service and Maintenance Programs designed to protect RF shielding investments and minimize downtime in MRI suites. Guests learned about customized programs fitting specific product needs and schedules, as well as engineering services such as Site Planning and Site Surveys for electromagnetic interference (EMI), acoustic, and vibration analyses.
