ETS-Lindgren Announces Technical Contributions to EMC 2015

CEDAR PARK, Texas, February 5, 2015 - ETS-Lindgren announced its technical contributions to the 2015 IEEE Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Signal Integrity (SI) in Santa Clara, California. Symposium dates are March 16-20 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. 

The contributions include presentations in four tutorials, an EMC test lab software demonstration, an ETSI hardware demonstration, and a technical tour of the Wireless Test Lab at 7Layers.

The tutorials start the morning of Monday, March 16 with ETS-Lindgrens Zhong Chen presenting in the tutorial, Calibration of EMC Test Facilities and Measurement Instrumentation. Mr. Chen will discuss calibration of field products for EMC measurements in accordance with IEEE Standard 1309. Martin Wiles of ETS-Lindgrens UK office will also present antenna calibration and site validation for radiated emissions above 1 GHz per the CISPR 16-1-4/-5/and -6 standards. 

Monday morning, Garth DAbreu of ETS-Lindgren will present in the tutorial Application of Reverberation Chambers. He will discuss optimizing reverb chamber design for DO 160 Cat G and L applications. Mr. DAbreu will also speak in the tutorial, Testing of Wireless Devices in the Modern World on Monday afternoon. His presentation will review Radiated Spurious Emissions (RSE) testing of wireless devices. ETS-Lindgrens Jack McFadden will also share his expertise in this tutorial on the new ETSI 300 328 conducted testing standard.

On Wednesday morning, March 18, Zhong Chen of ETS-Lindgren will chair and present in the tutorial, Time Domain Emission Measurements and Modeling. Mr. Chens presentation will discuss time domain measurements to verify the modeling of this measurement technique. He will also provide an update on the latest work for the draft version of ANSI Standard C63.25: Validation Method for EMC Radiated Emission Test Sites which includes time domain measurements.

Mr. McFadden will present ETSI EN 300 328 V1.8.2 and ETSI EN 301 893 V1.7.2 - Clarified Requirements and Synchronized Power Sensors; Mr. Tannehill will present Using Simulated EMC Instruments to Develop, Edit, and Validate EMC Test Routines. Mr. Tannehill will also lead the annual TILE! Users Group (TUG) meeting on Wednesday morning, March 18.
