ETS-Lindgren Announces Technical Contributions to GEMCCon 2019

Bengaluru, India Hosts the IEEE EMC Society Regional Conference

CEDAR PARK, Texas October 18, 2019 Several ETS-Lindgren engineers will contribute to the technical program at the IEEE EMC Society's Global Electromagnetic Compatibility Conference (GEMCCon) to be held in Bengaluru, India on November 6-8, 2019. The IEEE EMC Society created this regional conference in 2015 to bring high quality technical content to the growing IEEE areas outside the United States.  This year's GEMCCon promises another outstanding technical program under the leadership of Conference Chair Dr. D. C. Pande, with SEMCEI, India and Technical Program Chair, Dr. Dipanjan Gope, of IISc and Simyog, India.

ETS-Lindgren engineers will provide four presentations during the conference on a wide variety of topics.  They will share their expertise in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic pulse (EMP) as applied to Government and Commercial requirements, including the growing focus on automotive and wireless applications.  Garth D'Abreu, Director, Automotive Solutions, will present, "Implementing Vehicle Level Measurements for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems."    Sergio Longoria, RF Filters Product Line Manager, will present, "Important Considerations in the Selection of Power and Signal Filters for EMC, Wireless, and EMP."

Zhong Chen, Director of RF Engineering, will provide two presentations, one in his role as an IEEE EMC Society Distinguished Lecturer, titled "Optimizing Results from Electric Field Probes during EMC Testing" and the other based on his noted test site validation R&D as described in several IEEE published papers.  Mr. Chen will present "Advanced Antenna Measurement Techniques Using Time Domain Transformation" a topic that is addressed in the recently published ANSI Standard C63.25.1 on test site validation.  As chair of ANSI C63 Subcommittee 1, which published this standard, Mr. Chen is very knowledgeable on time domain measurements.  Attendees of the presentation will learn about the significance of this faster and more efficient measurement technique as well as witness a live demonstration of the test method.

The ETS-Lindgren engineers noted above will be available during the conference to answer any questions related to their respective presentations.  Look for ETS-Lindgren's booth in the exhibition area to meet with our engineers and see the new products and services we offer.  Representatives from ETS-Lindgren's office in Bengaluru will also be on hand at the conference to support your EMC, EMP, automotive and wireless test requirements.  For more information on GEMCCon 2019, click here
