A Legacy of Engineering Excellence

ETS‑Lindgren is a multinational organization built over decades through purposeful growth and strategic mergers that brought together deep expertise across RF, EMC, MRI, and wireless technologies. Officially formed in 1995 in Austin, Texas, the company united EMCO (The Electro-Mechanics Company), Rantec, and Ray Proof—each recognized for advancing its respective field—to create EMC Test Systems (ETS). Ray Proof established early benchmarks in medical X-ray shielding beginning in 1932, Rantec advanced anechoic absorber and microwave chamber technologies for military applications in the 1970s, and EMCO contributed foundational research in magnetic field and radio frequency science dating back to the 1960s. Together, these organizations formed a team of experts whose combined knowledge, innovation, and engineering rigor established the foundation for the company’s future growth.

International Growth Driven by Customer Needs

Building on this foundation of expertise, ETS expanded internationally with the acquisition of Euroshield OY in 1997, establishing a European presence in Finland and advancing RF shielding technologies that remain industry benchmarks. The 2000 acquisition of Lindgren RF Enclosures doubled the company’s size, delivered immediate leadership in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) shielded rooms, and broadened its EMC portfolio, prompting the company’s name change to ETS‑Lindgren. As customer demand accelerated, the company expanded throughout Asia, beginning with Singapore and followed by operations in Japan, China, Taiwan, and India, adding manufacturing, engineering, project management, installation, and system integration capabilities to support a rapidly growing global customer base.

A People-Driven Global Organization

With operations spanning North America, Europe, and Asia, and supported by an integrated sales and service network, ETS‑Lindgren is structured to support customers wherever advanced test, measurement, and shielding solutions are required. The company’s network of manufacturing, engineering, sales, and service teams delivers localized expertise backed by shared standards, consistent quality, and close technical collaboration across regions. Continued investment in international facilities, workforce development, and service infrastructure enables ETS‑Lindgren to scale complex solutions worldwide while maintaining the precision, reliability, and compliance customers expect. As a wholly owned subsidiary of ESCO Technologies, the company advances innovation through people, partnerships, and purpose—remaining committed to a smarter, safer, and more connected future.
