GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Illinois, January 17, 2008- The Texas Center for Athletes is a $12 million, 133,000 square foot sports medicine complex recently built next to the San Antonio Spurs’ practice facility. The most technologically advanced sports medicine facility in South Texas, this 3-story medical treatment and research facility treats spine, foot, ankle, shoulder, and hand injuries. It also houses plastic surgery, sports dentistry and nutritional specialist professionals. “It is a one stop shop for athletes that can treat them from head to toe,” says Dr. David Schmidt, San Antonio Spurs team physician.
